I'm loving the current series of art trams. This one is by Oslo Davis and can be seen on route 16 ~ Luna Park via St Kilda Road and back again.
One thing I've learned over the years is that fabric comes and then it goes. Unless it's a classic ,it goes for good. This amazing linen was designed by Etsuko Furuya for Kokka, Japan. It comes in both unbleached organic and deep green. There's only enough in stock for half a dozen caps and they'll be made to order on a turn around of 3 days. Cost will be $25AUD and they can be ordered via the store.
Just behind Chapel street Prahran can be seen this pretty good knock off of Francis Bacon's 'Three Studies for Figures at the Base of a Crucifixion'
This cap was made for a retired submariner from his favourite old cammo pants and T shirt. The T shirt was beefed up with some interfacing and then used for the underside of the visor. Good for another 10000 K but I believe it will end up hanging from the workshop wall!
We love customs here at Number 16 and always love to hear your ideas. Pretty much anything made from cotton will work so send them in.
This cool old Cinelli cap arrived at the atelier recently for some good old TLC. Visor insert-sweat band-elastic replaced and its good for another 20,000k. We love refurbishing old caps here at no 16. Cost to keep your old cap on the road is $20 AUD and that includes postage back to your place. We like to think that the cap you receive will be better than the one you sent.
Amazing variety of mostly locally made bikes at this years Hand Made Bicycle Show.
My vote goes to anything from Llewellyn bikes although they're much too swishy for the cycling I like to do.
No 16 cycle caps are hand made in StKilda,Australia
