Welcome to No 16 Cycle Caps.

Frustrated by the lack of stylish cycle caps on the market for the everyday cyclist, we decided to design and make our own. We launched our label in 2012 with the aim of making a cap that would be smart enough to pair with a suit and tie ,or simply cruise down to the beach. Our designs will look super cool on or off the bike, on your way to the office or just out for a spin with your friends.

Number 16 Cycle Caps are made from a classic 6 panel design. They are constructed from pure, pre shrunk cotton sourced mostly in Australia,Hong Kong,Finland and Japan.  You will never find a cap made from 'moisture wicking' synthetic fabric in our range.Our seams are finished with French,fine herringbone cotton tape which gives a more robust and contoured look when compared to a basic over lock stitch. Heads don't come in one size, so why should caps? Number 16's come in 5 sizes.
XS      0~3 yo (baby)
S       based on a 55cm circumference 
M       based on a 57 cm circumference
R       based on a 59 cm circumference
L       based on a 61+ cm circumference- This size is for  you if have really thick hair or a head            
         greater than 61cm ~ it's a wopper!
(the rear of our caps have a discreet reflective tag and are elasticised for a comfortable fit)
Please note that our sizes are fairly 'generous'. Even though we pre shrink all of our fabrics you can still expect around %5 shrinkage after machine washing in cold water.

Our visors are cut from 0.5mm thick vinyl ,and as with typical cycle caps, have a fairly narrow width.(50mm). If you require a  wider visor for summer conditions ,we can increase the width for you. We can even make your cap with an ultra narrow  visor for that racy look. Just let us know at check out and allow an extra day for delivery. (please note that our green glass 'model' is extra small and tends to make the visors look a little over sized)

Regular are always in stock .Large, medium ,small and extra small are made to order on a turnaround time of 2~3 working days. Our caps cost from $25 AUD and this includes postage within Australia. For overseas customers, postage is currently $15 AUD for up to 8 caps.

​Return policy : here at No 16 Cycle Caps we understand that heads come in different sizes. If for any reason you are not happy with the fit of your cap, please return it to us within 28 days and  we will happily exchange it for another size or refund the purchase price.
